The Life Skills Centre is located above the small row of shops at 128 Sandy Lane Skelmersdale. The centre is open between 10am and 4pm each day and is staffed by sessional staff and volunteers.

  • Drop in to the Family Forge Life Skills Centre Open 10am-4pm Mon -Fri
  • Women's English as a Second Language Classes(ESOL) 10am-12.30pm Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Men's English as a Second Language Classes(ESOL)1-4pm Mondays and Thursdays
  • English language support for online driving theory classes 10am-12.30pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Other qualification support work including Maths and online Food Safety Certificate 10am-12.30pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Job hunting and CV production at any time as arranged with a tutor
  • Other cultural opportunities and workshops occur as timetabled.
  • Private Language Learning Classes available Online with the Family Forge
  • Volunteer- adult literacy help is required and special volunteers are needed to mentor language development through reading
